Uist Eagles

Come to South Uist for days of adventure and leave with a lifetime of memories.
DESCRIPTION:

The rugged hills and lochs that shape the landscape on the East Coast of South Uist are home to some fantastic animals. This tour hopes to show you the lot. From Golden Eagles to Sea Eagles as well as Harbour Porpoise and Common Dolphin amongst others. The wildlife in the seas and skies around South Uist is rich and varied and we want to take you on an expedition to explore this unique landscape from a different point of view, encounter Basking Sharks, catch a glimpse of Killer Whales, and all the while search the skies for Uist Eagles.

 

PRICE INCLUDES:

A 2 hour fast boat trip around the East coast of South Uist on our 12-Seater Humber RIB the "Island Adventurer".

Under 16's are £25 each.

 

DON'T FORGET:

We are on the wild West coast of Scotland and you will be on the sea so you might get wet! We provide flotation suits or lifejackets as required but remember to wear suitable clothing and footwear. Gloves and a hat that won't fly off are recommended as well as sunscreen. We do not carry pets and smoking is not allowed on board.

 

OUR TIPS:

Take a camera to catch anything of interest on the trip but remember to sit back and take in the stunning scenery and enjoy your time with us.

If you are pregnant or have any medical conditions such as lower back pain that can be aggravated by jarring movements then our trips will probably be unsuitable for you as it can get a little bumpy. If you're unsure about whether it's right for you please ask and we'll advise as best we can.

SCHEDULE:

Departing Lochboisdale at 1700 hours we head north towards Usinish Lighthouse passing the ruined castle in the bay, the unique island of Stuley and Nicholsons leap. We pass under the shadow of Beinn Mor and Corrodale bay where Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed during his journey through the islands. We hope to see the Eagles of Uist's East coast before travelling back to Lochboisdale.
